Possibly the best I've read
This book is possibly the best explanation of Cabalistic theory that I have yet read. As the title implies, the book explains Cabala as the Golden Dawn used it in their magical tradition, not generic Hermetic Cabala as developed during last thousand years. For my purposes, that was perfect.I have an extremely high opinion of the author. Everything that I have read by John Michael Greer has been very high value. Greer is remarkably intelligent and highly articulate. I like his writing style, although some may find it complex.

Greer is outstanding.
Along with Dion Fortune's Mystical Qabbalah, this is a must if you wish to understand this spiritual path.

Tremendous insights into each Sephiroth and the individual paths. Even being well versed in Qabalah, it added tremendously to my understanding.

Recommended for learning Cabala
This was the book that really helped open up my understanding for understanding esoteric Cabala. Greer has a wonderful way of writing straight forward, easy to understand text while offering two methods of approaching the material depending on ones intent in learning the system. After reading Paths of Wisdom, approaching other texts and ideas came at a better level of comprehension.

Endlessly insightful.
The more time you spend with this book the more you get out of it. I have read and reread many sections over and over again and still gain new insights from it. Tremendous value.
