Don't waste your money
It's too weak and too short to pop the trunk latch on my Honda. It would be better suited to pop the lock but not the latch. Also, it quite working altogether when I was only testing it. Complete waste of my time and money.

Waste of money, time, and energy
I would not recommend this item for your car. If you need or want a electric trunk release for your car just buy a used manufacturer one that is made for your car. I was able to get it to work, but it requires a lot of work to make it work, especially with a car alarm. You would need a 5 pin relay because an aftermarket alarm send our a negative trigger. The relay converts it to positive to trigger the trunk solenoid. It requires drilling. The connectors to the wires are loose, and it has a bad connection. After I fixed the bad connection, the solenoid only work off and on. When it does work, sometimes it does not have enough power to pop open the trunk. I'm talking about when I click on the red button or when I use the remote from my alarm. To conclude, if you really want a electric trunk release for your car get the one that is made for your car. Personally I would just use your key or the manual lever inside your car to open your trunk. Save your money to buy something else. If I could do it over again, I would have left well alone and spent my day doing something else.

Three Stars
Green wire was too short, and could not hide parts inside trunk. They were bulky, but system works.

I’ve fitted many over the years and this item is of poor strength , and the lock release on the car I was working on was not hard to open . It’s the size of the solenoid just not big enough to pull Won’t be using it unfortunately

This is a good kit, and worked excellent as a door popper for my lowrider with shaved door handles. Pulling power was good enough in my application. The kit does not use a relay, making wiring easy. Would like to see a better quality / waterproof switch included in the kit, one that is black or silver, or anything other than bright red.
