a good bargain. Have only used for a few days
Very impressed. For the price, a good bargain. Have only used for a few days, so time will tell, but the item appears to be very well constructed (always a pleasant surprise for Chinese items) and went together easily. I hate when words such as "leatherette" and "leatherplus" are used, since it mistles some into thinking it is leather, but of course this is not, and in my case I am glad, because this is used out in the garage. A better quality vinyl, thicker and not shiny, with a leather imprint. The tops of the arms rattle when you move them, which is typical for adjustable arms on even expensive office chairs and for me is not an issue. Wish it went up another four inches or so, but I knew what I was getting based on the description and answered questions, and did not care to spend another $100-200 on one that went higher, so I simply lay an armaflex or garden kneeling pad on the seat to sit higher and am very happy. Lovelovelove all the adjustment levers, which you will not find on comparably-priced items. Being very tall, I like to be able to tilt back the seat to better support my thighs, and also lock the back at my angle of choice. As usual with heavy/bulky items, the box arrived looking as if it had been through a tornado, but amazingly everything was included and generally pristine. Very impressed for the price, to have the many adjustments, beefy back pad, and good quality.

Its the BOSS
I have had this chair for about a month now. It is simple to put together; took me about ten minutes. It is comfortable and fully adjustable which is great. i spend several hours a day in this chair and my back is much better of than it was in my old chair. The seat height of my chair ranges from 23.5 to 27.5 inches. I thoroughly enjoy this chair however it does have some flaws. As I read in other reviews, the footrest is too high and there is no way to adjust it. At full height it works well, but any lower and it is extremely difficult to get my feet on the rest. It makes a lot of noise. When I sit in it I can hear something creaking all the time and an occasional POP. I don't know for sure but i think it is the plastic covering for the metal back brace base. It isn't exactly straight. It has a slight bend so that the chair spins on its own to find the low point. This only happens when i am not in it. I DO NOT have to fight the chair to stay straight; but when i get out of it the thing tends to spin to its own position.

Check your desk height before buying...
I bought this. I like the chair a lot but I wish I had seen more detailed height information before buying and I'm writing this to help anyone else decide if this is the right chair for them.27 inches is the highest that the seat raises to with the wheels (what I measured from the floor to the front bottom of the seat when raised to full height). Yes the cushion is about 3 inches thick so when you sit on it you will get at least 2 additional inches when your sit on it...but the seat is soft so you will lose a bit of that height when you sit your full weight on it. Additionally, if you have smooth floors and don't have a chair mat, you should consider buying the Boss Metal Glides (sold separately). If you chose the glides, which I did, the height from floor to bottom of the chair came up to 25 1/4 inches in the front).I am 5'9, 180 lbs and my desk/countertop is 43 inches tall (measured from floor to desk surface). With this chair I was just barely at a comfortable height when at max height. I would say that if your work surface is up to 40 inches high, this chair would be fine. But if your surface is higher, you might feel some shoulder/arm fatigue. I really like the feel of this chair and assembly took less than 5 minutes. I will see how it goes over the next few months.

It works fine for a while
I have had a couple of these chairs for my higher than normal desk. They are fine chairs for a while, but do eventually start falling apart in a number of different ways. The arm rests start to crack and break apart, the seat begins to wobble and groan/creak, and the frame warps. It just generally does not hold up for more than 1-2 years.

Drafting chair for a drafting table, finally.
I have owned a bunch of chairs but this is my first Boss chair. Took me five minutes to assemble and traded the wheels with my other chair that are bigger and better. I own an Mayline 37.5"x60" drafting table with drawers and the chair at the lowest point sits at a good position. I raised it up an inch or so for the piston to give some bounce. The adjustable arms are stiff on the adjusting but that can be just from being new. The plastic piece that is a cover for the stem on the chairback is flimsy and I might remove it. The chair doesn't go under the table since I put the bigger wheels on but that's no big deal. The chair has a rip-away tag that shows ">250lb" should be in the lowest setting for the piston but the chair in the highest position will not fit my legs under the table so if you are heavier this chair sits up high (My drafting table top is at 34"). Overall a good chair for the price and beats having a regular office chair.

Broken weld on chair seat after 2.5 yrs
I spent 3-6hrs a day at home in my work shop in this chair over the last 2.5 yrs. The welds on the bottom of the seat cushion mount broke/cracked and it's wobbling around horribly now. looking for a replacement, preferably with cloth seat and mesh back.Leather version didn't allow enough 'airflow' (obviously) and while the seat cushion hasn't worn out, it could use some more padding (none of the screws come through the seat though). Definitely liked all the "adjustments" even though the seat back wouldn't stay locked in the highest position and kept sliding down each day.
