Easy to install & seems strong
Installed easy on the kneel of a kayak. Needed to massage the patch on to ensure it adhered around the very curved surface. Seems to adhered very well. But haven't used the kayak yet.

EXPENSIVE BUT AMAZING PRODUCT!!!!!
You can use this to patch a hole in a boat!!!!! I had a hole rusted through the aluminum wall of my pool and the liner was pushing out. This cured into a super-hard and super-tough patch on the outside of the pool that's serious quality. I love this product!!! It's expensive, but worth it!!

Serviceable, and works. Warning about using outside and premature curing should be in all caps.
The patch is easy to apply, and so far has worked well - patching a kayak and a paddle board. However, if one uses this outside the material cures rapidly, even if the plastic wraps are still on each side. When that happens, the sheet hardens and becomes unusable. It notes this on the directions, but easy to overlook.

Very strong patch
Very thick and strong patch. Fixed a crack and hole in the front engine cover under my car .Patch was thick and super strong after I let it set in the sun to cure before reinstalling.

It works on plastic bass boats!
I have a pond prowler high density polyethylene bass boat and have replaced hte boat several times because I drag it into and out of the water on cement or rock boat ramps and the resultant scrapes on the back and keel eventually wear through and make holes. The most recent boat purchase I wanted to protect those key areas on at bottom so they wouldn't wear out. The trick is that most adhesives will not stick to this plastic but this patch does per the instructions. I used it with success, it is thick fiberglass and sticks well, and after a couple fishing trips I found that the boat dragging does not seem to scratch the patch. The patch adheres with uv light so will set quickly on a very sunny day. Finally found my solution! Youtube tests on those thin rubber patches shows they just scape off and I also tried liquid rubber and it scraped off on the first trip. This is the answer!

Works excellent
I read the reviews and the negative ones must have not went by directions. I have pelican kayak and directions on guard states one type of plastic, guard will not stick to. Make sure your kayak isn't that type. I got the 9x12,cut it into 3 even strips. Kayak was in garage for awhile and wasn't warm to touch. I sanded areas with 100 grit sandpaper. Used rubbing alcohol to clean. Put strips where needed, marked edges with sharpie. Peeled off white film, put on hull. Used 1"x4" pvc pipe to roll guard to contours of hull. That made guard stick good, and got rid off wrinkling around 80-90 degree bends. Pulled off top film.Put out in sun 90 degrees for total of 10 hours. Put in shade, sanded with 150 grit around whole guard. Cleaned with water. Dried, painted with about same color as hull. Put in sunlight, dried, shade, painted again. Waited 4 days, took it out and no problems. Been out in it 8 times and guard looks like when I put on, just paint scratched where shale scratched it. Try the way I did and should be no problems.

not for contours
Had high hopes as I had watched numerous You Tube videos on this product. Seemed ideal for my needs.First I should have ordered the 3 inch wide instead of the 9x9 inch, though results would have been just as bad I fear. This product is impossible to contour to a kayak bow/keel. Totally no flexible to work with once started. I had the material covered to protect from sunlight with the foil package it shipped in. Product bunched and buckled so bad I could not get it to seal to the surface. So then I reed a 3inch piece wide stripe I still had in the foil pack, same results.Totally waisted my money. Going back to JB Weld marine epoxy.

awesome versatility
These patches are great- I used them to patch a crack in my hot tub. my only warning is WORK FAST - have the area prepped, and the patch trimmed to size. work in the shade or at night, the patch is activates quickly and you do not have time to adjust as it hardens within a minute or so. Once in place, they are rock solid! perfect for what i needed.
