The Passionate Olive: 101 Things to Do with Olive Oil

I saw this book over a year ago in a fancy olive oil shop that my daughters buy from in central CA. It was, of course, at full retail price or more, but I took a picture so that I would remember the title, and then forgot all about it for many months. I recently came across the picture in my phone, and looked up the title on Amazon. Low and behold, there was the book, brand new and signed by the author, for maybe 1/3 of the price the shop wanted. My daughters will love it, and I'll give it to them as soon as I have read through it myself, of course.

Coming from a family that owned olive groves in Puglia for centuries, I grew up knowing the true secrets of olive oil and other olive products. Author Carol Firenze shows her love for olive oil in her book as she carefully researched and wrote in detail the benefits of olive oil. I fell in love with this book! The Passionate Olive gels not only the story of olives, but the many cures, uses as preventative "medicine" plus uses for beautiful skin and hair. Though I knew quite a few of ways to use olive oil, I learned more. A Before I even met the author a few months ago, I bought several books and gave them as gifts. I keep a supply of books for every occasion. This is a must have book!

Terrific book for all cooks.

I like this for the many different ways olive oil can be used to better our lives. i would reccomend this book for any one who uses olive oil in their homes. but i also reccomend, that you buy it as a book and not as an ebook. My mistake, but I do still have it for reference when I need it, but others in my family do not.

I enjoyed the book passionate olive, because it is both entertaining and educational. I use olive oil extensively in my cooking and the new uses will help add to my appreciation of olive oil. RBMc

The Olive Book makes a great gift but the book is small and would have preferred a larger style and print. It is very informative and fun to read.

I own the book and gave it to my daughter-in-law for the holidays. She was thrilled as she and my son use olive oil very often in their cooking! It has a beautiful cover (!) and interesting information and recipes. This is a real winner!

Helpful and enjoyable

If you love olive oil this is the book for you. It has loads of new uses for olive oil wich I've tryed and work plus includes useful information like the different kinds of olives and olive oils and recipes and tips so you don't go wrong.It has a producer and shop list at the end but only for California, USA so take that in count if you don't live in the Orange County.
