Exact OEM drop-in replacement
I replaced the air filter on my 2021 Q5 55 TFSI E. The 40k mile maintenance requires replacement of the air filter. At first I didn’t realize how dirty it was until I took it out and compared it to the new clean filter. From the looks of it, it was never replaced. The Mann filter is an exact copy - the original even has “MANN FILTER” on it. The only difference is the new filter doesn’t have the 4 rings. The replacement is a quick and simple process and hopefully this will last another 40k.

fits like a glass slipper that's tricky to install
i'm not sure why this is a "frequently returned" item on amazon. it's a carbon copy of the oem filter i replaced on my 2023 Q5. the design of the housing itself is a bit awkward, but that shouldn't be a reflection of whether this is the right air filter or not. just make sure you have both a T25 (Torx) and a flathead screwdriver if you attempt this yourself -- the instructions have step by step photos, but they don't specify which tools you need.

These are great replacement filters. They are always and exact fit and when it comes time for replacement the one I am replacing generally looks as good as when I put it in. Highly recommend!

The filter is OEM even though it is not branded or priced as such.
Bought this Mann C17 013 engine air filter for my 2018 Audi A5 Sportback. Very easy to change the filter with a T25 torx bit and a 7mm socket. This filter is OEM. The only difference is that it doesn't have the Audi rings stamped into the plastic housing, as you can see by the attached photo. $22 here is much cheaper than purchasing from the dealership. This is one of the cheapest, easiest maintenance items you can do for yourself rather than paying much more to the dealership. Watch a YouTube video. It only takes a few minutes to swap out the filters.
