Nice design, construction, and fit
I was glad to pick up a pair of these before they switched to the newer model. They are a great design and construction and have a nice mesh ventilation feature (which seems to be going out of vogue in place of laser cut holes, which I'm not a fan of). While I could fit in to a medium with my 32-33 waist, I found the Large gave me more the fit I like with my bibs underneath. That said, I've noticed of several brands I've tried lately that mediums tend to run very tight in the butt and crotch (not these) with the exception of Fox (which I also have several pairs of). My point is that if you have a fairly muscular build you may want to size up. If you tend to be on the thin side then go with the standard sizing. I'd say these are closer to Fox sizing and more generous than brands like TLD, Specialized, RR, etc. Length is good for pads or general trail riding. I might buy another pair if I can find a good deal. The Trigger shorts also fit very similar to these, just a thinner material.

Not the greatest Race Face shorts.
I've got a few other pairs of race face shorts and these are not as comfy. They flare out a bit and are not quite as fitted. I got a wicked deal so I'm not too disappointed. Would never pay over $80 for these. I would either get the Stage or Ambush shorts.
