Good curry powder !!
I bought this one for my son who loves to experiment different cuisines. He made Japanese veg curry with this curry powder. The flavors are really good .Since this came in tin I was a bit concerned about the freshness of the powder ,but happy we bought this brand .It is not spicy at all.

That Japanese curry flavor
This curry powder captures that mild, mellow flavor that I love about Japanese curry dishes. I've used it for chicken and and shrimp preparations and my family loves it too. Works for me!

Good seasoning for curry
However it doesn't actually have ground curry leaves.

🔥 “Spice Unleashed: The Day I Became a Curry God” 🔥
I bought S&B Curry Powder Oriental, 3 oz thinking I’d add a little kick to my kitchen. What I didn’t know was that I was about to unlock a forbidden scroll of ancient flavor sorcery that would transform me from a mere mortal into a culinary warlock of the East. The moment I opened the can, a golden dust storm swirled from within — I swear I heard the faint echo of a samurai’s cry and the chanting of spice monks from a forgotten dynasty. This wasn’t just curry powder. This was the essence of 10,000 spice masters, bottled in a tin forged by the spice gods themselves. One teaspoon turned my dull stew into a volcanic eruption of umami. My cat bowed before the pot. My neighbor burst in, weeping, saying he hadn’t smelled something this divine since a curry he had in Osaka in 1997. I dropped some on toast. I dropped some on eggs. I dropped some on my existential despair. It fixed everything. Use with caution. You’re not just cooking anymore — you’re summoning ancient spice spirits. And they demand respect. Final Verdict: 1000 curry suns / 10. Would spice again.

Good curry spice
They stopped selling this brand at my local grocery store so I was glad to see them selling on the website. Cost was actually 20 cents cheaper per can than at my local store. Ordered a few as I make curry chicken quite often for the family. The spices are subtle and good not overpowering though one can adjust the amount used to taste. Easy to mix in many dishes though my main one is curry chicken.

S&B curry is a taste of heaven!
I make a lot of curry. Lots! It's one of my families favorite meals. I've made Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Golden and Thai curries. Green, Red, Yellow, Brown - pastes and powder, bricks. The favorite hands down is this yellow-based powdered curry by S&B. It's so perfectly balanced that it's not going to blast you with one dominant spice like garam masala or cumin. It's just a delicious harmonious blend of warm spices that make you say, "WOW, this is really good curry! I've tried so many different types because I'm always experimenting. But I'm finally going to stick with this brand because it's consistent, delicious and the one my family loves the most. Bottom line it's taste is unsurpassed. Everyone's palate is different and not all will agree and that's okay. I'm pretty picky and S&B is the winner in my opinion. I sauté thinly sliced chicken in coconut oil with some curry powder, fresh garlic, onion & red chili pods for heat. I add sliced carrots & potatoes and pour chicken broth, coconut milk, more curry powder and turmeric for even more vibrant yellow color. Bring to boil and simmer 10 minutes or until veggies soften. Serve over hot Japanese rice. Heaven! Ingredients: Turmeric, Coriander, Fenugreek, Cumin, Orange Peel, Pepper, Chili Pepper, Cinnamon, Fennel, Ginger, Star Anise, Thyme, Bay Leaves, Cloves, Nutmeg, Sage, Cardamom
