Works well
This hour meter works well. I use it to measure the run time on my compressor. It took a little bit to find the proper mounting location but now it works great. A master reset button would be nice but works for my purposes without one.

Great addition to any generator
Great timer for my generators, like the other reviewer said, ditch the supplied foam tape, it insulated the vibration too much. I used 3M trim tape to attach them to the handle area of the generators and they work great.2023 update to the original 2019 review: well the battery died :)

Works as described if you mount it directly to the engine.
Got this to monitor the hours on a gas generator. I mounted it to the control panel and it wold not register the gen running. I had to mount it to the motor itself and it work then. I even adjusted the sensitivity to the 3 different levels but that didn't help. Just be sure where you mount it vibrates like heck. :)

Absolutely Useless! Wasted Money!
I wish I could give negative stars, this product would receive five! I have re-read the instructions numerous times thinking I must have missed something. To date I have yet to get this meter to record a single minute of use. It seems like it should be a bullet proof no-brainer. Either there is a secret to get this thing to operate, or it's a piece of crap. I don't believe there is a secret.

Very simple to use and highly useful for maintenance tracking of machinery
A simple add-on to any machine, especially suitable for small items like lawnmowers, to facilitate maintenance tracking. And it seems to work very well.

Works well.
Works well on any surface that you can feel vibration on. Best to mount it out of the weather. Battery appears to be un-replaceable, but so far so good. If RPM is not important but operated hours are this is the item for you. I mounted mine on the belt guard of my air compressor.
