Dressmaking: The complete step-by-step guide DK Paperback – January 1, 2015

Having bought the hardback and more expensive version of the book for the downloadable patterns I was so disappointed to find that important pattern markings such as darts on Dress Pattern no 1 (shift dress) did not show as normal but as a single, angled straight line giving no indication of dart width or which 'side' of the dart the line was for and there is no indication of the widest point for anyone to even guess unless you are a pattern maker! Looking at the patterns in the book the dart is clearly shown in the usual manner yet doesn't download that way. I scoured the book looking for anything that actually gave the width it should be. Useful for general sewing but buy another book for Patterns and Pattern making!
