Rod Grande professional curling iron 19-19mm / 3/4"

I love this brand of hair iron, I have the teardrop shaped barrel version of this iron from same brand and I loved it so much I wanted to purchase the straight barrel, and I am not disappointed. The fact that there is no temp. control does not bother me because you can adjust the amount of time you hold the hair on the barrel and if you barely let it touch the hair it would be no different from just the same iron on a lower temp. I have medium/fine hair and I don't need to hold my hair against this that long to have a nice bouncy curl. Even though it seems like it would be damaging with such a high default temperature setting, I observe no damage when I use these irons. Damage occurs when you hold your hair on the iron too long, for my medium fine hair I usually count to 10 every time I curl & it is perfect for very defined curls. If I want less of a curl and more of a wave, I just count to five, or just don't hold the hair tight to the barrel. Since there is no metal clamp pulling & scraping your hair like there would be if this was a traditional clamp style iron it is much less damaging no matter what the temperature setting.
