These knives are extremely sharp! The only reason I didnt give this set 5 stars is because of the knife block. The magnet in the knife block works somewhat well, but the handles have a slant where they meet the blade. They do not stay upright in the block due to the flat top edges of the wood and plexiglass front. Other than that issue, the knives themselves are great!

We've been using a Chicago Knife set for years and constantly having to sharpen them. Saw this go on sale and figured it was time to step up. Out the box, they are fantastic. Great feel and confidence holding and once you start cutting, it only elevates. The look helps as a conversation starter when we have folks over too, thanks to the nice display rack/holder! Planning to add the steak knives and fillet knife soon! FYI, one knock I took a star off for is we tried to clean them in the dish washer and there was some rust spots so I've been hand washing them since, but it's just nitpicking imo.

Great quality knives, sleek looking knife block. I’ve been using the chef knife for a week and absolutely loved it - excellent cut and good balance on the hand. Considering buying a cleaver soon.

Knives are good, the block is a paper weight. If you're thinking the block will work in any sense at all, don't. The block's magnet couldn't even hold another magnet if it wanted to. That is all. The blocks sucks, [email protected]: They gave me $35 bucks back for the paper weight block. Again, the knives seem good.

After moving to my apartment for a year, I finally got this new knife set. I like the wooden magnet block, very elegant and all my knives could fit on there. I've only used the chef knife so far, very sharp and cuts things fast. I wish it could come with a vegetable knife too, but nothing to complain.

These are great quality knives. I did purchase these in particular because they came with the magnetic butcher block holder, however it is not magnetic and the paring knife will not stay between the plastic and the board.

AMAZING set of knives. Beautiful piece in the kitchen. If you want to upgrade your knife set, look no further.
