KG Physio Dumbbells Set Of 2 Weights (sold as a pair) A3 Poster - Weights available - 1Kg, 2Kg, 3Kg, 4Kg, 5Kg, 6kg, 8kg, 10kg (Neoprene)

So I received my 6kg dumbbells - a big burly bloke delivered them & as I went to take box was warned box was heavy... upon opening box I noticed a warning label stating package weighed over 15kg, I thought this odd given combined weight should have been only 12kg & with packaging slightly more. Struggling to even lift each one & 6kgs is only 1kg more than what I use in the gym. I got my scales out & weighed them. Each one weighs the same, so at least I have a pair unlike another reviewer, however I was shocked that my 6kg dumbbells weigh waay over 8kg despite saying 6kg on each one. Great for my progression at a later date if I ever manage to be able to carry out the exercises on the worksheet but dangerous for someone who has strength in some muscle groups & weakness in a lot of others. Doing the exercises on the sheet isn't just something that could possibly put someone in A&E from injury of attempting to lift excessive weight beyond their means but I can't even do the exercises when I can barely lift the weights. 6kg was already going to be heavy for me but ending up in A&E because I'm not lifting a weight that is 'safe' for me to use is likely to end up with the seller being sued. Not many people weigh their weights to check eligibility of them. One orders 6kg that's what is printed on each one & thats what you expect them to be. I'm soo disappointed as I was soo looking forward to getting my own set of weights to use away from the gym. Please be careful people as you could be doing yourself an injury if you are lifting weights that are waaay too heavy for you. Arrived nice & quickly but the dumbbells/product itself very disappointing. Over 8kg on the scales & not 6kg as advertised & sold. Very unhappy.

Great! Seriously they didn’t need to be pink just for girls! I’ve got reduced mobility below but I need to lose weight. I’d never thought that using dumbbells would help. I sit and use them for 5-10 mins per day but during that time I get my heart into cardio rhythm and try and stay there for a minute then rest, then go again. I garnered this info of the Internet because I didn’t get the poster. No worries though, as I’m sure 75% is useless for little old me! As an aside, I’ve not worn a back closing bra for a couple of years. Within 3 days of using this I could reach right behind me, amazing. Oh and I’ve with the dumbbells and diet lost over 5lbs in the first week!

They look cute, but you can easily see that size is different. I have also checked and even if they say each of them is 1000 g, one is actually 980 g and the other 1116 g. This is too big difference. Contacted the seller asking for an exchange for two dumbells of the same size, but still waiting for a response.

Pros : Look smart, came earlyCons : damaged; different weights- one is shorter and lighter than the other; total weight 9kg; stronger packaging would probably have avoided the damage (as there were rips in the box)My sons say they felt the difference in weight and the grip size (wider in the longer, heavier one) when they unpacked it.You'd have to remember to switch them round while exercising, so don't end up putting unequal pressure on arms. Not great, considering the price you have to pay for them. Thinking of sending back

I purchased this product for home use to complement my gym class. The dumbells themselves are nicely made, comfortable to hold and a nice bright colour. The A3 posters that arrive are actually very helpful and a nice addition to the order if you're looking to expand your exercises. I would certainly look to purchase more from this company, and they are very fairly priced compared to their competitors too. 5 stars from me.

These are neat & comfy dumbbells & the exercise poster that comes with them is very good & makes this a great buy especially if, like me, you're just starting with weights. I wondered if I would find the 1kg pink dumbbell too light but I'm glad I started with this because it's just right for now. One point of interest, the space between the two ends of the pink dumbbell - ie the bar you hold - is approx. 9cm (3 1/2") so make a fist & measure the width across your knuckles to make sure there will be enough room to hold it comfortably. I don't know if the length of the bar varies on the heavier dumbbells but it might be a good question to ask the seller before buying, depending on the size of your hands.

These dumbbells are easy to hold and have great grip, even when hands are sweaty. I have small hands and have no issue gripping the weights. Use them predominately for boxing, MMA and HIIT based training workouts. Fab quality and professional looking weights. Can confidently balance on them for press-ups/ push-ups as thanks to the coating on the weights, they don't slip or slide or damage the wooden floors.Just a side note... wish I'd started with a lighter set of weights and built up to the 3kg. This weight is great for the standard bicep curls, etc. type exercises but if you're just starting out with incorporating weights into boxing, MMA or HIIT type training workouts, it's worth starting with the 1.5kg (gives that awesome burn thought the 30 min training that you just don't get with heavier weights as you have to take more regular breaks).

If you use several sets of dumbbells, chances are that you will be putting them down on the floor while you work out. That's why I only buy hexagonal-headed dumbbells, because they stay put. I mistaken thought these were hex, but they're not, and they tend to move around whenever you put them down. It may not matter to some people but I find it annoying. More importantly, the grip is pretty poor, as there is no swelling in the centre of the handle. This is key to a good grip. I only wish Amazon would add to their Basics range, which are excellent, but there are a number of good makes out there that are hex-headed and have contoured handles.
