Honestly, expected better. The lights are great. Wiring and kit is good. Could only get one to stick, but its likely the surface composition in my car. They felt sticky enough.. should include a USB adaptor, not just a 12 volt plug or wiring kit. A USB would be super handy. I was still able to get them all installed. The rear seats, I just laid down on the carpet under the seat. On my front passenger side, just kinda tucked it up in a crack. Only light that stuck was under my driver's dashboard. Everything else didnt. Probably just a bmw problem, not the glue. I even rubbed everythjng with 70% isopropyl alcohol too. Im still giving 5 stars because it seems like the company manufactures things well and offered a reasonable price. Another kit i bought for my truck, was about the same price, and I can barely get the remote and stuff to work. These seem well built - minus the glue. I might be able to hack it with a few drops of superglue or something.

Overall it is a very good product. It shines bright is pretty easy to install and is very high quality. I had an issue with one stand when I first plugged it in, but got it replaced almost immediately and the new ones worked great. The app also has a lot of great modes on it, would recommend.

Generally speaking, it's a nice light set, as long as you don't try to install it in a way it wasn't intended. My issue is with attempting to hard-wire it to my dome light circuit so that the lights come on automatically when the doors are opened and then eventually fade out after the doors are closed. I wired it this way and then discovered that the lights will come on GREEN EVERY TIME, for a second or two before switching to you last selected color. Think of the "controller" as a little computer that needs to "boot up" when first powered on. When you first give power to the controller, it always starts with green, then the controller boots up (or loads all settings) and restores your last color. Then shows your preferred color. There's no way around this: it's the way the controller is designed. Other difficulties installing the lights: [1] I can see now that I would probably prefer a sturdy LED bar that can be zip-tied to the car easily over a flexible LED strip that needs to be taped. There won't often be nice surfaces to tape the LED strip where you want. You'll end up using zip ties anyway, which would work better if the LED strip was sturdy rather than flexible. [2] The controller only has two outputs for four LED strips. You need to wire two of the LED strips in serial (okay) but that creates an awkward installation where you run a wire to the far side of the LED and then the LED strip comes back toward where the wire came from. It seems like going out of the way and using too much wire. [3] I tested all four of my LED strips before installing and they all worked, but then one stopped working after I installed it. I'm certain it's a wiring connection issue. I'll call the company to see if they can send a replacement. [4] There's no power cord provided that will be long enough for a hard-wired installation. I found an old power supply with the same size barrel connector and cut the wire from that. Nice features: The remote control works really well, even when the controller is hidden. I tried the app and it seems to work well, and provides more features than the remote control. The "auto" and "music" modes seem to work well (even without the app). The LEDs are nice and bright, and the brightness is adjustable. I think everything would work out well for you *IF* [a] you plan to just power it with the provided cigarette lighter plug, or [b] you plan to hard-wire it with constant, "always on" power.

I've only used Opt 7 products in all of my vehicles and only have had 1 issue which customer service promptly took care of and made it right. The number of vendors that sell similar items are a dime a dozen and may be cheaper but you won't get the customer service and quality Opt 7 offers.

The OPT7 Aura Pro interior lights with remote and app is a great product. The LED lights are adjustable from dim to bright, music sync is cool, functions well and installs very easily. And customer service responds promptly. But I have to tell you about my experience when I purchased on Amazon. The product description states that it includes two 5 foot extension cables and two 12 foot extensions. My product came with four 5 foot extensions and no 12 foot extensions. I contacted customer service and they did send me two 12 foot extensions at no charge. I appreciate that. They just need to make sure that customers get the 12 foot extensions as described.

04/17/2020 I am using this for almost 4 months. Never got the door assist working. Today found out that the door assist is working only if the car runs and the app is on!!!! Why? I want the white light to be on when I open the doors. How can I run a car before opening the doors? Found on FAQ: so disappointed... -------- Question: "Where should the door assist be connected to? Answer: You'll just need to find the power wire for something that turns on when your door opens and splice it into that. This could be a dome light, factory installed foot well lights, door chime or even be the wire that actually powers or signals the dash light for the open door, the idea is that when power is sent through that wire, it acts as a switch for the control unit that tells it to turn white, so you just split e into that wire and piggy back off it's power. Question: "I have the Aura Pro and am trying to wire in the door assist, but the door assist only seems to be working when the app is already turned on (the lights will just change to the preset door assist color), but if the kit is switched off in the app, then the door assist will not come on when the door is opened. Is this the way it’s supposed to be or is there something wrong?" Answer: In summary, the DOOR ASSIST function will only work when the vehicle is on and when the app is turned on. Therefore, should you turn on or off the Aura Pro app, the same action will as followed. If this is something you are not looking for - we recommend switching to a Aura V1 Control Box which will allow the door assist function to work with a control of the remote rather than an app control. Depending on which Aura LED Kit you have, you will need a specific control box for a swap of the unit. You will also need to purchase the Aura V1 hand held remote for the Aura V1 Control Box to work. WILL update to 5 star if I am wrong or if it is working on a non running car. ----- 12/30/2019 This is My second interior car lighting system and the previous one was with a remote control not app controlled. I searched a lot and decided to go with OPT7 Pro. There were some comments regarding the weak responsiveness of the app control but wanted to use my phone instead of having a remote in the car. Opening the box was really exiting. Two boxes are coming out of the main box. Everything look really high quality and very solid. The unit is exactly as described. The fuse taps look high quality and you have 3 options (I am using the low profile for my Subaru BRZ) and the fuses are already at their place. Everything is included based on your quick installation (cigarette lighter) or hardwire installation. You can easily you the adhesive behind the leds or there are some adapters that you can screw and attach your leds. The control module has 2 outs where you attach the Y cable and get 4 cables to hook the 4 led bars. Straight forward. There are also extension cables which is really enough to hook it up in the regular size car or SUV. I am not sure why people do not like the Bluetooth app control! It’s amazing! At least my test resulted great. Please check the video. As I mentioned Before the installation I quickly hooked it up at home to see if works without any issues. You have several modes: 1) solid- where you can change color and brightness. It’s very sensitive. Even the bass sound is a little far it’s still very responsive. 2) strobe mode - you can change color, brightness and speed. Amazing! 3) Pulse- you can change color and speed 4 ) cycle - brightness color and speed are options to play with and the best, 5)sound sync- despite you can only change sensitivity it’s the best mode. It’s showing multicolor with a general with background but amazing. Did not expect that it will be that responsive. So far from what I have searched this unit is great. You can also turn the whole system off from the app. Didn’t have the chance to test the door welcome light but it’s straight forward. You can select a color for the welcome light and save it. For more information and installation manuals you can check the links provided in the little brochures that is in the box. I will definitely update my review with some pictures of the box owning and items. Will also update once everything is hooked up in the car. So exited to have it and listen some music with sound sync! Overall I am so happy with this purchase and hope that the smile on my face remains after my hardwire installation.

Easy to install. They look great! Definitely worth the money. Remote control is very easy to use and the lighting's great. The adhesive is not that good but there's other ways to install it. Overall great quality though.
