If you are looking for a great starter board for a young girl, this one should definitely be on your list. My daughter just took up skateboarding and loves this board. It functions as good as it looks! The price is comparable to those cheap ones you see at the box stores, but this skateboard has better components by far (great trucks, and good wheels, and a great deck.).For a beginner (and even intermediate skater) you want to have soft flexible trucks (The square component the wheels attach to) that will allow the rider to make easier turns. The ones in the box store are typically very hard making the ride uncomfortable and hard to maneuver. Even if you don't buy this one, do your skater a favor and do not buy a store bought prefab toy. Buy them the real deal, they will enjoy it more and be more apt to stay with it.

My daughter needed her first skate board so we bought this one based on some of the positive reviews and appearance. For a "beginner" board this one is quite good. It seems to be very sturdy and built well and the graphics on it are great. Some of my daughter's friends did some more advanced tricks and skating on it and it held up well. One thing though is the trucks on it are very tight and will need to be loosened a bit to make the board more responsive, but that's easy enough to fix with a small wrench. In all, we have no regrets with this purchase and would get it again.

This skateboard is so beautiful and seems very sturdy and balanced. It was a gift through a charity, so we will never know more about it. I cannot imagine that she wasn't thrilled.

Excellent beginner board for both the street and skatepark. Deck is stiff and the generic trucks good and sturdy enough for a kid. I feel the wheels are a bit soft but they are a good compromise for working both the street and a park. If your kid already knows how to skate do them favor and trade out the bearing for some Bones Reds. You can usually buy them on Amazon for 10 bucks or so and they will really make a big difference on this board. The bearings this comes with are the only week thing about this board. While they are well built they are slow. Which can be good for someone just learning how to ride but are not fast enough for a park and makes the board too much work for the street. Also after a couple of weeks hitting the skatepark we ended up popping in some softer bushing to loosing things up. Again, like the bearing, the ones that it comes with are fine and good to learn on but as your kid gets better you may find a set of softer ones will work better for them.

Well, I don't really have any complaints about the skateboard, but I do have a lot of things i like about it. First of all, the deck is very sturdy; you can tell it's not just another cheap board. Second, I love the design on the underside. My first time seeing the design I said "This is the one." I also like the stickers that came in the box. I've already put one on my laptop. I think this skateboard is perfect for beginner, intermediate, and pro skaters.

My granddaughter absolutely loves this thing. Her future stepfather is a skateboarder. And he's teaching her how to ride. This is a heck of a nice board. And the design is great.
