I had quite a time finding books for my daughter to study for the HiSet test. This is a new test and there are few books to help study for it. The few books out there have no reviews to help choose which books to buy. After buying a couple and sending them back, this book series is exactly what I want. The author has broken down the content of the test subject and does not just have questions to answer. For example, the major topics in the book are "Approaching Math Problems, Practical Applications of Math, Thinking Algebraically, Geometric Reasoning, and Data and Statistics. There are review and practice questions with answers. A person cannot just get a GED book because it is a different way of learning and will not help on the HiSet test. I do not agree with how common core is taught, but if you want to pass the HiSet, the student must learn it. In my state, it is the only equivalency test offered. This series also has books on Math, and reading skills. It is a shame this series does not also cover the science and social studies parts of the HiSet

I really recommend this book if you have problems with reading and comprehension. It really help understand clearly, a lot of activities do do and practice .

I needed this book for my basic skills review class that I am taking for free through the adult education at the community college before I try the college entrance exam and so I won't have to take developmental courses that I won't get credit for and test right into college-level courses instead so excited to get started

The product its self is fine. It is a great informational text on how to help our students with the reading skills they need. I would prefer, however, for it not to be sent in a huge box with one other book, and crammed (there was plenty of space come on!) under the lower inner flap of the box in such a way that it bent the otherwise brand new book.

I like the structure..it is for my grandson who is homeschooled
