customer service
I've had the Peek for 2 days now and I can't rate it yet. I can't seem to activate it. The red "x" does not go away on the antenna i-con and I can't scroll to the "submit" button (only the "help" button which gives a phone number that doesn't work) to finalize my information. The customer service phone number(s) given either doesn't work or I am told to use e-mail. I sent an e-mail, but for claiming to have 24/7 service, I haven't gotten a reply, yet. I would like to start using it immediately. You should be able to get my e-mail address by this correspondence.

but the product itself was in good shape.
Doesn't fully work as expected due to Peek no longer offering service, but the product itself was in good shape.

Mature user
As a mature person it took exactly 6 minutes to set up, including reading the instructions. I do have problems turning it on-off. The button is to small and indented. Other than that it is perfect for getting and sending email, even for the mature person, like myself. It's slim, but the keyboard is easy to read. I love it.

PEEK Customer Service Horrible!
Today I joyfully received my new Cherry Red PEEK. I was so excited. That excitement was very short-lived as the PEEK at this writing is still not connected to their "network" after over an hour and a half of waiting!I called the 877-677PEEK customer service number only to be told it is no longer in service!!I have no idea whether I would like the product--I thought I would. It is going back to AMAZON.

Peek can be a life saver!!
The PEEK can be a lifesaving device while traveling. Last year I was in LA during the time of the earthquake, and early in the AM the following day, the hotel emergency alarm was activated. Electricity was off for several minutes, but I was able to make my way out of the hotel safely by pressing the keypad of my PEEK. It actually gave off enough light for several of us to make it down the hallway and out the emergency exit. I will NEVER travel without it. TRULY, a potential lifesaving source of LIGHT.I recommend this product for everyone.

DO NOT BUY...devices do not work!
This irked me so much I'm writing my first review. The company is keeping the appearence that they are still an active company who supports their product but these devices DO NOT WORK! You are wasting your time and money if you attempt to purchase them. I only bought it because the company I work for wants to pay for me to have access to my work email on a mobile device and I didn't want to have my work email flowing to my cellphone. I attempted to contact Peek via multiple avenues but received zero response. I think it's fraudulent for Amazon to even sell these and not indicate that they don't work. I only wish I had done a bit more research first.

Can't activate... No customer service
Very hard to open package. They use that Chinese junk plastic blister packaging.Activated online Friday night. Waited for 20 minutes then turned on the Peek. No service (red x on antenna icon). Turned Peek off then on again. No service.Customer service phone line was closed already. Won't open until Monday. Emailed [...]. No response. And my subscription time that I paid for is ticking away.I thought Peek was known for their exemplary customer service! Guess not anymore.

Fantastic toy
a fantastic product. I was thinking of getting a blackberry or iphone and was not sure if I really needed email and internet access on the fly. So I gave peek a try.I was astonished. The connection to my email account was ridiculously easy, the guy at the hotline was great, new what he was doing. And my emails kept flying in. After 2 weeks I realized that I also needed internet access, so I had to cancel and get myself an iphone, which is fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was that when I wanted to cancel the service they left me on the phone for over an hour waiting. I then hung up and called again, this time choosing to talk to the support. Everything was done in 5 minutes.I can highly recommend this service, for anybody who needs to read his emails on the go, just to be updated. And even if you don't like it, what is the risk? $20 for a month subscription.
