Sturdy and reassuringly stable folding stick in a beautiful colour and finish.
Looking at this because you are too young to need a damn walking stick (but you need a damn walking stick)? Yeah, me too. I’ve bought the £3.99 funky foldables and yep, you get what you pay for -snapped inner cables, buckling metal. Some days you are going to really need to be able to lean in on your stick, and if it can support my 105kg ass, it’ll support you too. Still light enough to go in a cotton tote for goodish days though. I prefer the simple style handle to the LH/RH flat &curved variety which is recommended for some things, but they never fit riht to me, so this works well for my 6.5“ glove size hands. I have EDS-3 so I can screw up pretty much every joint in my body, particularly if I fall, so having a reliable sturdy but light stick is both vital and reassuring. Dammit.

Beautiful colour, belies its medical necessity
THIS JUST ARRIVED (v. fast!) and it's simply gorgeous.. if you can ascribe the quality of glamour to a "walking stick", then this is the one. I agree with another commenter who said they were too damn young to need a stick ( I much prefer the American term, 'cane' , which is used on the box). After a year of chemotherapy and a medication induced stroke , which left me wit the feeling that one side of my body is missing, this is just perfect to carry around in my bag, to ground myself when in big crowds. IF people rush past me, I lose my balance. also, for travelling, in case of exhaustion while trekking round an unfamiliar city. This provides a statement, I need space, but doesn't have that ghastly grey industrial medical look. I love the teal. I was going to take the purple, but after seeing so many people commenting on the teal blue, I thought I'd try it. so fun and pretty cool with denim!

Classy look, Sturdy, Well Designed - Superb
Bought this to help a hip problem caused by a soon to be corrected significant leg length discrepancy.Teal is effectively metallic turquoise : Turquoise is my favourite colour and this metallic turquoise is just beautiful. The stick auto-stretches automatically and is easily packed away again. Incredibly sturdy - that is why you pay the price it is compared to the sub-£10 ones you can get.The rubber/gel handle is first class, very comfortable, and the hanging loop is well placed at the end of the handle. If you are shorter than 1.68m then this stick will not work for you, buy a different one as you need to be at least that height for its LOWEST settings. Someone at work who has hypermobility but is 1.59m found its lowest setting too high and uncomfortable - there are other sticks on Amazon that are in the 31-33inch length.Interesting point, in case it helps someone with a similar problem : with this stick I can walk incredibly fast, power walk in fact, as in my case the stick is to prevent me from slightly rocking sideways to compensate for the longer leg, as that imperceptible rocking is what affects my hip.Tried a few before settling on this one : superb item (bought a second one to keep in the boot of the car).

Not as advertised
Nice, cheap item and came very quickly. HOWEVER my reason for buying was the advertised teal, matte colour which looks pretty chic online. In reality, it is a fairground / Pat Butcher-style metallic turquoise which I would not have bought if shown accurately online. So, not the stylish addition I was looking for.

I'm a magician
excellent stick, with a few niggles. Can be hard to collapse after prolonged use. Surface of stick easily marks when collapsing. But these are all minor niggles. The only real negative is once collapsed you have to provide your own band to hold it together. Now the pros.Very easy to assemble and so cool as it makes you look like a magician pulling out the collapsed stick and it automatically snaps into place. The stick is adjustable in height, short people may find it a little tall. All in all a very good stick that I would buy again if I need too.

Just about suitable for 5'5" which seems to be the point of length change of sticks.
I looked at a lot of sticks to try and find ones that would suit my height of 5'5" - it seems to be that the short ones end just before this and the long ones start just after. I purchased this in the longer length option and whilst it is maybe half an inch long on the shortest setting they were perfectly usable so I think a good choice. Opening them them out the band holding the lengths together seemed a bit excessive as they go in bag perfectly well without, but different people will prefer one or the other. The fit of the pieces together was easy and so far seems nice and firm giving good support.

Hard to use for the elderly
Just bought this for my 85 year old Mother and she is in floods of tears as she cannot work out how to construct it. As we are social distancing I cannot visit her to help. Surely a video or instructions could be provided. The elastic is also so tight that it's too hard for her to pull the stick apart.
