I HAVE RESTORED A 1984 DODGE RAMPAGE MINI PICKUP. I MEASURED THE ORIGINAL CABLES AND FOUND THESE ONES MEASURED CLOSE TO WHAT I NEEDED AS MOST THE OTHER CABLES AVAILABLE ARE AROUND 17 OR MORE INCHES LONG. I HAD TO MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO THE EYE ENDS TO USE THEM ON MY RAMPAGE. THE EYE ENDS HAD TO BE OPENED UP WITH A UNI-BIT DRILL BIT. THERE WAS A SPRING TAB THAT NEEDED TO BE REMOVED AS WELL. A DREMEL CUT OFF WHEEL DID THE JOB WELL.ALL IN ALL I NOW HAVE A MATCHING SET OF NEW TAILGATE CABLES ON MY RAMPAGE LOOKIN SPIFFY.

I bought these because my old cables rusted and snapped. I put these new ones on there easily and it works great for an 05' Toyota tundra. Very strong cables. I had to move two double stacked commercial gas ovens that bent my tailgate when the ovens were resting on there but the cables took that heavy weight no problem.

In installed these yesterday...seem to be well-made and durable. I used my old bolts because the new ones were not a torx fit, but they'd be fine regardless.

Work like the OEM units. I reused my OEM torx bolts rather than the Philips bolts supplied.
