Yes item is exquisitely well made!! The secret compartment is big enough to put a US sized bill(s) for a fortunately pleasant surprise!?! The bill(s) are stelthfully quiet too!! ! know huh?!? It's easy to open & close once you know the unexpected witty solution!?! It's a fun presentation on my chest high dresser! I got the smaller similar but square puzzle box too, to compliment the larger rectangular puzzle box I got. Looks sweet!?! I know huh?!?

This was a gift to my 5 year old grandson who likes all things mechanical. It was tricky enough that he couldn't figure it out by himself, until I showed him the "secret". He was so excited that his mom and dad couldn't figure it out and he had to show them how to open it. To me, the box is only slightly tricky, so older kids would probably get bored with it pretty quick. But it is a great gift for a 5 or 6 year old who likes puzzles and figuring things out; gives them a chance to impress their parents and friends.

impressive item - looks great - gave it 4 stars because it was a bit tricky to open....way too tight and didn't slide and maneuver as easily as shown in the diagram or videos; otherwise, a great gift idea to hide a gift of money in!
