Solid construction and a great size.So much better that our old ironing board which feels flimfy in comparison.Nice and big ironing surface makes ironing so much easier. Well worth the money.

The most imposing feature of this ironing board is its sturdiness and stability. The metal tubing and support legs are thicker than usual and the whole structure appears to be very robust. This inevitably increases its weight but without compromising ease of use too much. The ironing area is particularly plentiful which facilitates larger garments and it also has a nice-looking and smooth surface. The rest position for a steam iron looks secure and with the correct inclination to prevent steam leakage or water dripping. Thoroughly and unreservedly recommended.

Good size, sturdy for the main body but feels a bit less so on the iron rest for my steam generator though I am using it my previous board felt sturdier at that end. It's a but stiff to put up and down but I am hoping this will loosen up a bit with more use. I don't really want to keep having to pay it on the board to undo the locking bar. If you like a big board it definitely fits the bill. Heavy? Yes. Not much point having a big board that can't do a bug job because it's a lightweight. I will work around my issues with it as the pro's much outweigh the cons.

It is a sturdy board if you base that on the legs alone as they seem solid and no movement or sliding. However, as someone who irons for living (not what I bought this for it’s purely for personal use at home) I am a great judge of boards and irons and this one is definitely not worth paying £58 for. My last board cost £35 and has lasted 14 years and I’ll be lucky to get 1 year out of this. It’s far too flimsy on the surface for such a large area and it arrived tilted. The back plate for sitting you iron on drops and sags when you put the steam generator on it. My own board collapsed last week and I’ve been in every store within 40miles to find one to no avail so I have to keep it as I desperately needed to get the school and work clothes done or it would have been sent back. Such a shame as the legs are made perfectly and it’s not as heavy as other have said I found it fine to move, put up and down.

This is a very sturdy ironing board but very heavy, this weight is stated in the product details so it shouldn't come as any surprise.It's also quite wide and longer than most of the boards I've owned previously, my initial thoughts were that it could double up as Heathrows's 3rd runway.As is is so heavy it can be rather difficult to unfold, but I am expecting this to get easier as the joints wear away excess paint.On the whole it is a very well made board but would be better suited to a larger kitchen or a dedicated laundry room.

The packaging was broken when it arrived but thankfully the ironing board was not damaged. It was easy to put up, quite light compared to my last one, came with a spare (not terribly attractive but free) replacement cover and appears to be stongly made. I am happy with it.

This is a very large and sturdy ironing board as advertised.On receipt I required my husbands help to fold it away and believed it would ease with use.Now it will not collapse at all although a number of very strong people have tried, the closing mechanism is fixed. The ironing board is now a permanent fixture in my living area. Even if I wished to return it or dispose of it, I would have difficulty, as it can not be laid flat.
