Great Resrouce If You Have The Right Expectations
The book is basically a compilation of dyno tests using mostly 5.7 based hemi engines. Lots and lots of good data can be gleaned from this book with a little critical thinking about your specific application.This book is not a how to book necessarily. You won't find any information or tips/tricks about Hemi engine assembly, or much about parts interchangeability between the different displacement versions. What you fill find though are a series of well conducted, semi-scientific tests that you can use to learn a lot about the Hemi engine family.My one suggestion for improvement would be to incorporate more OEM part swapping data. For instance, a test of a 392 cam in a 5.7 vs stock. Just incorporating more budget minded builds would be appreciated. That being said, if you are on a budget, this is still useful. They do multiple tests with a Comp 268h cam, which is very similar to a 392 cam in specs, so you can glean some information from that.Overall, great book to have on the shelf, very happy with my purchase, hope Mr. Holdner published more on the new hemi!

Could be about any modern engine.
Just the basics. Since being published, there are more aftermarket performance part options available that aren't covered. Don't expect super detailed info. Notably about tuning your vehicle after adding performance parts. That's a Bible in and of itself! In the camshaft chapter, for example, He doesn't talk about the need to delete the mds with a tuner, replacing solenoids with expansion plugs , and non-mds lifters along with using a Comp Cams phase limiter or lock-out for HEMI's with VVT. I did enjoy reading it though and it did influence my decision to spend the extra money on long tube headers. So, yeah. I'm not bummed.

Not useful for 6.4 hemi users
If you have a 5.7 or 6.1 hemi, this is helpful. Unfortunately, I have a 6.4 and it doesn’t help me at all.

Different then expected.
Was expecting a book that had tried and tested street, street/strip or drag motor combinations. Much more similar to engine masters style of engine combinations with specific outcomes.

Hemi Tunning
This book is full of information if you are needing to tune any size Hemi motor. It has dyno information with different add-ons on each size motor. A great book.
