I have a Martin D28 guitar, so maybe I’m biased, but these are the best strings for that and my other acoustic guitar (a Takamine). I’ve had these on for over a month and am recording an album, but they still sound bright and resonant.

Great strings, very happy cutting

I bought for my Flambeau 12 string guitar which I have restrung many times over the past 40 odd years - so I know what I'm doing. I'm an amateur player, but do love the sound generated from this Lowden designed instrument. 2 of these strings broke/snapped when stringing the guitar. I take my time to stretch the strings - I hate the "pinging" of the strings as they stretch!! Anyway, the restringing process takes a LONG time - a good couple of hours! The high G string broke at the bead. I was able to twist the string around the bead and it held in place. One of the high E strings was bent and snapped at one of the kinks, there was enough length to re-bead and attach, but it snapped again at another of the kinks in it. So I now had 11 strings attached. I sent a message to the manufacturer to report the faulty item. Martin have still to reply to me with a solution. So I contacted Amazon. I did get a resolution... but I had to remove the 11 strings to send back to them - plus the broken one! They can't be used by anyone else and actually seems a waste. They couldn't send out the individual strings. So Amazon paid for the return of an unusable, unsellable item - surely this just costs them money?? Anyway, I'm only a customer and do what I'm instructed to do. A replacement set was delivered the next day which is fantastic, and the strings are better in this set. Just bad luck the first time with a faulty set. Martin usually are a great product and reliable.

Great strings but be aware delivery from Amazon is not always prompt. My order was delayed 3 times and took almost 4 weeks to arrive.

A corda é suave, macia, o timbre é equilibrado, não possui agudos destacados (pode ser bom ou ruim dependendo do seu objetivo). Como eu toco com pre amp e faço adequações antes de tocar, uso IRs, etc, a corda é simplesmente perfeita pra mim. Pra quem toca mais no natural mesmo, cara a cara, pode estranhar um pouco a falta de agudos, mas irá se acostumar rapidamente pois o som é muito equilibrado e agradável.

I've been playing guitar for 55 years and Martin's strings are the best. I used Clapton's Best for years and tried these. Crisp and bright but nice. Clapton's Best are easier on fingers but they are light gauge.
