My kids (11 and 12) use these to secure their electric scooters at school and other places. They are able to put the cable thru the hole in the wheel of their Phantom scooters. They do come with a preset code and you can not change it.

So what irritates me most is the preset combination ! Yeah, that is right, it doesn't appear to be able to make your own combination for this lock. So if this is your only combination lock, probably fine, but I have other locks for equipment and having a new number is beyond reason. Otherwise they are fine, this is not for high security! they can easily be broken, but if you are just wanting to discourage a easy theft, then these will work fine. There are other locks that serve the same purpose and you can set the combination easily. For me this is a no buy! The lack of preset combination rules it out. Sadly, for me, I let them set around the house for three months before I took. look, otherwise I would have returned them.
