A TREAT FOR ALL MR. ROBOT FANS!
A look into the PERSONAL thoughts of one of the most intriguing protagonists in television today? Uh, yes please! The character of Elliot Alderson is so relatable to me so the fact that Sam Esmail went and gave us this GIFT, Elliot's journal? I don't think I could thank him enough. I love how it's not just Elliot's thoughts in the journal, but Mr. Robot's as well. The contrast of the two is amazing and there's even another character who we didn't see much of in season 2 (unfortunately) who writes their commentary on Elliot and Mr. Robot's words as well! The journal is so realistic looking, with all kinds of clues, some of which will tie things from season 2 together and some of which that will no doubt tie into the upcoming season 3!If you love the show, get this journal. No, I'm not kidding.

Amazing in every way
This book is amazing! As a huge fan of the show I am absolutely in love with the book! It takes place after season 1, through the several month gap between the seasons, and into the season 2. So its probably best to wait to read this until after watching all of season 1 and 2 so as not to spoil anything.SEASON 1 AND 2 SPOILERS!!!!!The plot follows Elliot Alderson an antisocial, mentally unstable, hacker, who has just taken part in hacking the biggest conglomerate in the world and effectively put in motion a major redistribution of wealth that will equalize the classes and knock the big wig millionaires down a notch; but it didn't quite work out as planned. Now that things have not turned out perfectly and Elliot who had been having second thoughts has no memory of the night he initiated the hack, and his alter ego/dead imaginary father figure Mr. Robot refuses to tell him what happened.Following the hack which is called the 5/9 Hack, Elliot is arrested and sent to jail for a hack he did against his therapists boyfriend, which resulted in Elliot taking the mans dog, Flipper and forcing him to revel that he was cheating on his wife and using a fake name to see Krista, Elliot's therapist.During Elliot's stay in jail he keeps a journal, that he names Red Wheelbarrow, and writes in everyday several times a day to keep track of his movements and to monitor if Mr. Robot takes over leaving him with gaps in his memory. This journal delves into Elliot's mind in a way the show couldn't, it develops his character incredibly and really blurs the line between fiction and reality. This journal brings you through his struggles with Mr. Robot becoming violent towards him and the difficulties he faces simply as a lone prisoner dealing with gangs and other inmates.END OF SPOILERSSo in conclusion if you enjoy the show and are interested in delving a little deeper into the mind of Elliot then this book is a must buy. The fact that it's written by the shows creator Sam Esmail means Elliot truly comes alive in the pages and there is no disconnect between the version of Elliot in the TV show and the version seen in this book.

INCREDIBLE attention to detail, a must have for any Mr. Robot fan
If you’re debating buying this book- do it now. You get more than your money’s worth, with little details and attachments that you can explore. The book also fills you in on some more details from season 2 that you may have wondered about. The book itself looks exactly like a real journal, and if I didn’t know better- I would believe the pencil writing is real. You can tell a lot of work went into creating this, so if you’re a fan of the show I 100% recommend!

Perfect.
It's a gift. After you finish the show, a part of you wants more but at the same time you can't imagine a more perfect ending either. You crave to have just a little more of Mr. Robot, and this journal is just that. For anyone who loved the show, this journal is a perfect addition to the Mr. Robot experience.

What a GREAT compliment to the TV series!!!
If you have not watched the TV series, first of all shame on you (LOL) and secondly, you must watch for this book to make sense. As I was reading it, I was trying to imagine someone who has NOT seen the series trying to read it and initially thought it would be fine but the text includes abbreviations such as BA and WR that only those who have seen the series would understand. I HIGHLY recommend both the series and the book!***SPOILER***This book fills in the details of Elliot's time in prison and his "discovery" of who/what "HE" is. The audio book is narrated by the jailhouse "fire starter" so you have a much clearer picture of her role in his jail life. Incredibly engaging and, as with the series, I will most definitely revisit it many times!

Perfect condition, quick shipping
I noticed that the book was the property of a library (some extra barcodes and stickers are on the cover), but the book has arrived still in perfect condition. Thank you, I'm really happy with it. :) Shipping took some weeks, but everything went well.

Amazing
The publication quality of the book is unbelievably good. I highly recommend getting the hardcopy book and not just the Kindle version because the book is so realistic, with all the inserts such as a torn newspaper clipping, envelope, postcard, etc, being so perfect (like the newspaper clipping is actual newspaper) that it's hard not to imagine that I have Elliot's actual book in my hands. The content is pulled together, oddly enough, by comments by Hot Carla written in the margins. Since some of us suspected there was more to Hot Carla than we got from the show, it's nice to learn more about her.Do not read this book if you haven't at least seen most of season two or you will spoil a plot twist.

A MUST FOR MR.ROBOT FANS
I think there's no review, either here nor in amazon, that describes how amazing this book is.If you're fan of Mr.Robot tv show this book is a must read because it fills the timeline of Elliot in prison, also this book is a door to a more intimate perspective of Elliot's thinking. I honestly was immersed in his narrative and I loved to get a glimpse of Hot Carla, a character we didn't get to know much in the tv show but actually was an important person for Elliot while in imprisonment. His never ending battle with Mr.Robot is heart wrenching, raw, and brutal. There were times I felt sorry for Elliot, I can't imagine being through the shit he had to deal with everyday of his life. The details in this "journal" made this read unique, I loved to understand some clues, have others to think about later, and overall feel trusted to have a piece of Elliot's thoughts to get to understand him more. Sam Esmail did a good job by giving us another piece of the big puzzle Mr. Robot is.

Control is an illusion
