Great product
This product worked great! My Dog has a sensitive stomach and was experiencing occasional throwing up and diarhea as we switch her from traditional dog food to home cooked meals. Started with a very small amount and it did not take much to make a significant improvement in her poop. Now I give it to her twice a day in a small amount. She is a 50 lb lab/mix.

Amazing!!
My 5 year old furbaby has always had tummy issues & has gastrointestinal hemmorhagic bleeding flare ups from time to time. I’ve tried everything. He always seems to be constipated regardless of whether his stools are firm or diarrhea. He strains so much to the point he’ll start bleeding sometimes. I had a talk with my vet & switched him to royal canin gastrointestinal low fat wet food along with purina fortiflora SA pre/probiotics, this slippery elm and Tylan powder. His stools are so much better now & I haven’t seen him straining ever since i’ve added this to his food daily. It has truly worked wonders so far! Its so stressful when we see our dogs suffering but don’t give up! Its all about trial and error until you find what works best for them. Talk to your vet, a holistic vet is even better. If your furbaby is suffering with digestive issues, I’d definitely look into adding this to his daily food!

Really helped my EPI dog with gas issues
As anyone with an EPI pup knows, finding a diet for their dog that works well with enzymes and allows their canine to gain wait and pass normal-ish stools can be extremely challenging. What works for one dog might not work well for another, and for our boy it seems like every time we'd find a good food source that would check all the boxes, the company would discontinue the product or change the formula. A few years ago we were forced to find a new dog food, and settled on one that really helped our boy keep the weight on, produce the best stools he'd had in years, and that he actually loved! Only problem: farts. Bad ones. Like, room clearing ones that would linger. We thought it was just something we were going to have to learn to live with, but after reading up on slippery elm bark on the EPI forums, we decided to give this product a shot. We started adding the powder as a supplement to his evening meals, and almost immediately...no more gas! As a bonus, he seems to like the flavor. I can't attest to any of it's other benefits, but for us it's definitely made our evenings on the couch much more enjoyable!

Talk to your vet first
My dog has prostate cancer. He takes an anti-inflammatory that can cause ulcers. I thought this product would help him but it didn't seem to help, he still had stomach upset. I went with a different product that seems to work. The product is non-returnable/non-refundable that is why the 3 stars. My dog loves the flavor so no issues there. Just be sure to talk to your vet first. Keep in mind when using this product it can interfere with absorbing medications and supplements, so it needs to be administered at least 2 hours before or after medicating, which can be tricky depending on your daily schedule.

Helps with acid reflux!
My 2 1/2 year old rottweiler has had acid reflux (regurgitates) since we adopted him at a year old. We tried giving him smaller meals throughout the day, which does help, but didn't completely fix the issue. I have acid reflux myself and upon doing research for him and myself I found that slippery elm is sometimes used to help dogs and humans with this. I got this powder for Samson and bought slippery elm capsules for myself and it's helped us both so much! Samson is no longer regurgitating after meals and he eats it no problem with his food!

Does it work?
Yes it does. I have a Vizsla dog who on occasions has loose stools. TMI…I know, but after doing som research I discovered the benefits of slippery elm additive. I used it in his food and within a day he was back to normal. No more wasting cans of pumpkin after using a tablespoon or two.
